Isaac D. Kremer, Executive Director

Isaac D. Kremer is an award-winning Executive Director who has provided catalytic leadership for numerous communities and organizations. He has successfully secured over $1.28 million in grants. Kremer has been a leader at applying tactical urbanism and creative placemaking to achieve revitalization results at the local level. He organized one of the earliest Better Block projects that was held in Oyster Bay, New York, in June 2010. He has since organized two more Better Block events in Middlesboro, Kentucky. His work has been featured by the Appalachian Regional Commission, Citizens Institute on Rural Design, National Main Street Center, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Speaking engagements include the National Brownfields Conference, the National Main Streets Conference, and others. Kremer has an M.A. in Historic Preservation Planning from Cornell University and a B.A. in Economics from Albion College.

When Kremer is not working he enjoys restoring the "George Washington Pridemore House" in Middlesboro, Kentucky, where he lives with his wife Chrissy and two boys Edward and Thomas. Kremer also travels extensively, having visited over 20 countries.
